sudeng ( HIPPO ) Price Live Chart

Sudeng (HIPPO) is a fan-created memecoin on the Sui blockchain, launched in late 2024 and inspired by Moo Deng, the baby pygmy hippo born at Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo in July 2024, who became a global viral sensation. After its original developer abandoned the project, the community staged a takeover (CTO) and has run it since. HIPPO has a fixed supply of 10 billion tokens, all circulating, and donated 5 million Thai Baht (about US$150,000) to Moo Deng's zoo and other Thai zoos in October 2024. It peaked near $0.0298 with a reported market cap around $300 million, and trades near $0.00012 in September 2026 roughly 99.6% below that high, with a market cap near $1.2 million.

Sudeng is not Moo Deng

This is the single most common error in searches for this token, and it matters because the two assets have very different market profiles.

Sudeng (HIPPO) is on the Sui blockchain. The name is a portmanteau of Sui and Moo Deng.

Moo Deng (MOODENG) is a separate token on Solana.

Both were inspired by the same animal, the baby pygmy hippopotamus born at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi, Thailand in July 2024, whose videos drew hundreds of millions of views worldwide in the autumn of 2024. Neither is affiliated with the other. Neither is owned by the zoo.

The tokens are frequently compared in "which hippo coin is better" content, and their price histories diverged substantially. If you are researching one, confirm which chain you are looking at before trading, the contract addresses are entirely unrelated.

A further note: HIPPO is a widely reused ticker. Verify the Sui contract address on a block explorer before any transaction.

A warning about HIPPO price data

Published market data for HIPPO currently disagrees by orders of magnitude, and you should know this before trusting any figure.

As of mid-September 2026, CoinGecko reports approximately $0.000134 with a market cap near $1.34 million and rank #2424. CoinMarketCap reports $0.000130 and rank #1730. OKX reports $0.00011554 with a market cap of $1.16 million.

Those three broadly agree. But at least one major outlet's price page has simultaneously displayed $0.009517 with a market cap of $95 million, roughly seventy times higher. That figure appears to be a stale snapshot from a historical pump day rather than live data.

There is also an unusual volume anomaly. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap report 24-hour volume between $2 million and $3 million against a market cap near $1.2 million and on-chain liquidity of roughly $200,000. A turnover ratio above 150% on an asset with $200,000 of liquidity is not normal organic trading. It may reflect aggregated activity across many thin venues, or wash trading, which is common on low-cap listings. Treat headline volume figures for HIPPO with caution.

Rule: verify against the Sui contract and at least two independent aggregators before relying on any HIPPO number.

What is Sudeng (HIPPO)?

Sudeng is a memecoin, an asset whose value rests on community, attention and culture rather than on cash flows, revenue or protocol utility. It has no product, no roadmap of technical deliverables, and no yield.

What it does have is an unusually specific and verifiable origin story.

In July 2024, a female pygmy hippopotamus named Moo Deng was born at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi province, Thailand. Videos of her bouncing, slipping on wet tiles, being hosed down by keepers spread globally in September 2024, turning her into one of the biggest animal internet phenomena of the decade.

Crypto responded as crypto does. Tokens appeared on multiple chains within days. Sudeng was the Sui ecosystem's entry, and it became the chain's dominant memecoin by market capitalisation.

The branding

The project's positioning is deliberately simple, and its slogans do the work:

"No cats, no dogs, only hippo."

"Just a hippo ruling the Sui waters."

In a market saturated with dog and cat tokens: Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, dogwifhat, Popcat; claiming an unoccupied animal was smart positioning. Hippos were available. Sudeng took them.

Why Sui?

Sui is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain using the Narwhal-Bullshark consensus mechanism, offering high throughput and very low transaction fees. Those properties suit memecoin trading, where transaction counts are high and individual trade values are often small.

Sudeng's rise coincided with, and contributed to, a surge in Sui network activity. Between 4 September and 3 October 2024, Sui transaction volume rose roughly 661% from about $26.1 million to $198.7 million. At its peak, Sudeng accounted for close to half the total market value of all memecoins on Sui.

The community takeover: What does "CTO" mean?

This is the most structurally interesting thing about Sudeng, and it explains the project's official handle, @hippo_cto, and website domain, hippocto.meme.

The original developer abandoned the project. Rather than the token dying, the usual outcome, the holder community staged a Community Takeover (CTO), assuming control of branding, social channels, marketing, and community coordination.

In memecoin culture, a CTO is a specific and recognized event. When a developer walks away, holders who still believe in the asset organize to run it themselves. Most CTOs fail quietly. A few succeed, and Sudeng is among the more prominent successes on any chain.

Why this matters practically: a CTO removes developer-dump risk. There is no founder sitting on an allocation waiting to sell, because there is no founder. Combined with Sudeng's launch structure: no pre-mine, no private sale, no team allocation; it means the token's distribution is unusually clean by memecoin standards.

What it costs: there is no accountable entity. No company, no foundation, no named leadership with a legal duty to holders. Decisions are made by whoever is active in the community at the time. Continuity depends entirely on volunteer energy, which fluctuates with price.

Both of those things are true simultaneously, and anyone evaluating HIPPO should weigh them together.

Tokenomics

  • Total supply: 10,000,000,000 HIPPO

  • Maximum supply: 10,000,000,000 [fixed]

  • Circulating supply: 10,000,000,000 (100%)

  • Blockchain: Sui

  • Pre-mine: none

  • Private sale: none

  • Team allocation: none

  • Holders: approximately 74,700

Full circulation is the headline fact. Fully diluted valuation equals market capitalization. There is no vesting schedule, no unlock calendar, and no locked investor tranche waiting to hit the market.

This is worth stating plainly because it rules out the most common explanation for a token collapsing 99%. Sudeng's decline was not caused by dilution or unlock pressure. There was nothing left to unlock. It was a pure sentiment and liquidity contraction.

There is no burn mechanism, no staking, and no protocol revenue. HIPPO does exactly one thing: it exists as a tradeable cultural asset.

The Charity Partnership

This is Sudeng's most substantive claim to significance beyond price, and unlike most memecoin charity talk, it is documented.

In October 2024, Sudeng donated 5,000,000 Thai Baht, approximately US$150,000 to Khao Kheow Open Zoo and other zoos across Thailand.

The details on record:

  • The donation was delivered in person, with the project represented by Kullathida Othong

  • It was framed as the beginning of an ongoing charity partnership rather than a one-off

  • Additional urgency came from flooding in Northern Thailand, which had put pressure on wildlife facilities

  • The zoo's own associated social account publicly thanked the project on 6 October 2024

  • The project describes itself as the only meme project officially endorsed as a Charity Partner by Khao Kheow Zoo

Why this deserves credit. Charitable pledges are near-universal in memecoin marketing and almost never verified. Sudeng's donation has a named representative, a specific amount, a named recipient, a date, and public acknowledgement from the recipient side. That is a materially higher evidentiary standard than the category norm.

The honest caveat: the well-documented donation dates to October 2024, when the project's market cap was around $160 million. The project's stated model is to donate a portion of profits to wildlife causes. With market capitalization now near $1.2 million, the capacity for donations at that scale no longer exists. Ongoing giving at comparable levels should not be assumed without current disclosure.

Price History

  1. 2 October 2024 — First recorded exchange price at approximately $0.0102.

  2. October 2024 — Explosive growth alongside the global Moo Deng phenomenon. Market cap passes $100 million, reaching roughly $126 million by late October and about $160 million at the time of the zoo donation. Sudeng becomes the largest memecoin on Sui.

  3. Late 2024 / early 2025 — All-time high around $0.0298, with the project citing a peak market cap near $300 million. 2024 was HIPPO's best year, with prices running from roughly $0.0073 to $0.030.

  4. 2025 — The worst year. Price falls from approximately $0.0092 to $0.00065 across the year as the memecoin cycle deflates and Sui memecoin competition intensifies from tokens including MIU and LOFI.

  5. September–November 2025 — Sharp counter-trend rallies. One pump exceeded 280%, lifting market cap briefly from about $21 million to over $90 million. An 83.4% move was recorded in November 2025. Both faded.

  6. April 2026 — All-time low, reported between $0.000109 and $0.000154 depending on source. RSI-14 reached 24.21 on 22 April, a deeply oversold reading.

  7. September 2026 — Trading near $0.00012, market capitalization around $1.2 million, ranked between #1730 and #2424 depending on provider. Roughly 99.6% below the all-time high.

The instructive comparison is Shiba Inu. SHIB began as a pure meme and used its peak market capitalization to build Shibarium, a Layer 2 network converting attention into infrastructure that generates demand independent of the joke. Dogecoin survived through sheer cultural persistence and mainstream brand recognition.

Sudeng did neither. It converted attention into a charitable donation, which is admirable, but a donation does not generate recurring token demand. The ฿5 million went to a zoo, not into building something that would still be producing value in 2026.

This is not a criticism of the decision. It is the clearest available illustration of why memecoin longevity correlates with what a project builds during its peak rather than what it gives away.

How to buy Sudeng (HIPPO)?

If you have decided to proceed after reading the risk sections, the process is straightforward, but the verification steps matter more than usual for an asset at this market capitalization.

Via a centralized exchange. HIPPO is listed on KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, and OKX among roughly 17 venues. Complete KYC, deposit, and trade the HIPPO pair. Check the actual order book depth on your chosen venue before sizing a position. Individual exchange volumes for HIPPO can be very small, and a listing does not guarantee liquidity.

Via the Sui decentralized exchange. Set up a Sui-compatible wallet, fund it with SUI for gas, and swap through a Sui DEX. Verify the contract address against an official source before swapping. HIPPO is a widely reused ticker, and low-cap tokens attract imitation contracts designed to catch careless buyers.

Before you trade, check three things: the contract address, the order book depth at the size you intend to trade, and the spread. For an asset with roughly $200,000 of on-chain liquidity, slippage is a larger cost than any trading fee.

Risks Specific to Sudeng

Beyond the generic volatility warning that applies to all memecoins, HIPPO carries several risks worth stating individually.

Exit liquidity risk. This is the most underestimated. With on-chain liquidity near $200,000, a position that took minutes to build may take considerably longer to unwind without moving the price against you. Percentage returns on paper mean little if the depth to realize them does not exist.

No accountable entity. The community takeover removed developer-dump risk, but it also means there is no company, no foundation, and no named leadership. There is nobody with a legal obligation to holders, no entity to contact, and no formal process for anything.

Volunteer dependency. CTO projects run on unpaid community energy, which correlates strongly with price. Falling prices reduce participation, which reduces marketing and coordination, which pressures price further. That feedback loop is a genuine structural vulnerability.

Narrative decay is irreversible. Moo Deng's viral moment was a specific event in late 2024. It cannot be repeated. Any recovery must come from a new catalyst rather than a return of the old one.

Chain concentration. HIPPO's fortunes are tightly coupled to Sui ecosystem activity. Chain-level problems, reduced developer interest, capital rotation elsewhere, technical issues hit chain-native memecoins disproportionately.

Data opacity. As covered above, published price and volume figures for HIPPO are inconsistent and in at least one case badly stale. Making decisions on unverified numbers is itself a risk.

The structural story: A cycle unwinding

There is no single scandal, hack, or exploit in Sudeng's 2025–2026 history. What happened is more ordinary and, for anyone studying memecoins, more instructive.

Sudeng was a pure attention asset. Its entire value proposition was proximity to a viral moment, a specific baby hippo whose videos were, for a few weeks in late 2024, unavoidable on every social platform on earth.

That attention was never going to be permanent. Moo Deng grew up. The internet moved on. And Sudeng had no secondary engine: no revenue, no protocol, no utility, to hold value once the attention faded.

This is the defining lesson of the token, and it applies far beyond it: a memecoin's half-life is the half-life of its meme. Projects that survive a cycle almost always build something during the peak that generates demand independent of the original joke. Sudeng did not, and its chart reflects that with unusual clarity.

The competitive squeeze on Sui

Sudeng's position as the Sui memecoin was its strongest asset in 2024. It is considerably weaker now.

The Sui memecoin sector has fragmented. Tokens including MIU and LOFI compete for the same liquidity and the same community attention. Analysis through 2026 has explicitly flagged that HIPPO must maintain top-tier status to retain market share and visibility and market share on a chain is close to a zero-sum contest.

Sudeng's fate is also tied to Sui's own trajectory. When the chain attracts developers, users, and capital, leading memecoins capture disproportionate inflows. When Sui is quiet, they are hit hardest. HIPPO is a high-beta expression of Sui sentiment, which cuts both ways.

The 2025 and 2026 Rallies

Two episodes are worth recording, because they demonstrate that HIPPO retains genuine beta.

The 280% pump (autumn 2025) lifted market capitalization from roughly $21 million to over $90 million within days, driven by a broad rotation into animal-themed memecoins rather than any Sudeng-specific catalyst. It did not hold.

The November 2025 move of 83.4% followed a similar pattern.

The April 2026 oversold condition, RSI-14 at 24.21, price far below all major moving averages was flagged as a setup for a short-covering rally. But the Altcoin Season Index sat at 35, indicating capital was concentrated in majors rather than rotating into high-beta alternatives.

The pattern across all three: HIPPO responds violently to sector-wide sentiment shifts and retraces when they pass. It has not shown the ability to generate its own catalysts since 2024.

Liquidity has become the real risk

For a token at this market capitalization, liquidity matters more than price.

On-chain liquidity reported around $199,760 means even modest orders move the price materially. A $20,000 sell into a $200,000 pool is a significant event. Traders accustomed to thinking in percentage terms frequently underestimate how difficult exiting a low-cap position becomes when liquidity contracts.

The token remains listed across roughly 17 exchanges and 89 markets, including KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, OKX, and Sui decentralized exchanges. That listing breadth is a legacy of the 2024 peak and is genuinely useful but a listing is not the same as depth. Individual venue volumes can be very small: OKX, for example, has shown 24-hour volume in the low thousands of dollars.

What the community still has?

Despite everything above, several things remain intact and deserve acknowledgement:

Roughly 74,700 holders. For a $1.2 million market cap, that is a very wide distribution, an average of around $16 per address. There is no whale concentration problem of the kind that characterizes manipulated launches.

A completed, verified charitable act. The ฿5 million donation happened, was publicly acknowledged by the recipient, and remains one of the better-evidenced examples of memecoin philanthropy anywhere in crypto.

A functioning CTO. The community continued operating the project after the developer left, including maintaining social channels, running trading competitions with Sui DeFi platforms such as 7K, and coordinating community campaigns.

Clean tokenomics. No pre-mine, no private sale, no team allocation, full circulation. Whatever went wrong, holders were not diluted by insiders.

Exchange listings retained across multiple major venues.

Marketing activity: The historical record

Riding a genuine viral moment. Sudeng's core marketing insight was speed, attaching to the Moo Deng phenomenon while global attention peaked.

Category positioning. "No cats, no dogs, only hippo" claimed an unoccupied animal in a crowded field. It is memorable, repeatable, and gave the community an identity.

The charity partnership as the central campaign. The zoo donation generated press-release distribution across crypto media and, crucially, acknowledgement from the recipient's own social channels third-party validation that no paid campaign can replicate.

The CTO narrative itself. "The developer gave up, the community didn't" is a genuinely compelling story, and the project leaned into it with the hippo_cto branding.

Community engagement programmes. AMAs, meme challenges and bounties during the growth phase.

DeFi integrations. Trading competitions with Sui ecosystem platforms added activity and rewards for active traders.

Exchange listing sequencing. Each listing across KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC and others was promoted as expanded access during the 2024 run.

The holder base: Two readings

Roughly 74,700 addresses hold HIPPO against a market capitalisation near $1.2 million, an average of about $16 per address.

That arithmetic supports two opposite conclusions, and honest analysis has to present both.

The constructive reading: this is extraordinarily wide distribution. There is no concentration problem, no seven-wallet cartel controlling the float, and no proxy-contract cluster of the kind that has characterised several manipulated 2026 launches. Seventy-four thousand addresses is a real community, accumulated organically during a genuine viral moment. Communities of that size do not vanish, and they are precisely the substrate from which memecoin revivals occur when sentiment returns.

The sceptical reading: 74,700 addresses each holding roughly $16 is the signature of an asset that distributed widely near the top and has been held at a loss ever since. The overwhelming majority of those holders are down more than 99%. Every meaningful rally faces the accumulated exit intent of people who bought near $0.02 and would sell into any recovery that approached breakeven.

Which force dominates depends entirely on whether new capital arrives faster than old capital leaves. That is unknowable in advance, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.

What would have to happen for a recovery?

Setting aside price targets, which are meaningless for an asset like this, three conditions would need to align.

A renewed memecoin cycle. HIPPO has repeatedly demonstrated high beta to sector sentiment, the 280% pump in 2025 and the 83.4% November move both came from sector rotation, not project news. Broad risk appetite returning to memecoins is the single largest variable, and it is entirely outside the project's control.

Sui ecosystem momentum. Chain-native memecoins capture disproportionate inflows when their chain attracts developers, users and capital. A strong Sui narrative lifts HIPPO mechanically. A quiet Sui leaves it stranded regardless of community effort.

A new catalyst the community actually creates. This is the only one within the project's power. Trading competitions with Sui DeFi platforms, ecosystem integrations, or a genuine utility layer would give the token a reason to exist beyond nostalgia for 2024. Without that, HIPPO remains a leveraged bet on other people's sentiment.

The realistic assessment: the first two are far more likely to move price than the third, which means HIPPO's trajectory is largely determined by forces its holders cannot influence. That is an uncomfortable position for any asset, and it should be understood clearly rather than hoped past.

The Honest September 2026 Assessment

What's real: a documented ฿5 million charitable donation acknowledged by the recipient. Clean tokenomics with zero insider allocation. Roughly 74,700 holders. A functioning community takeover that outlasted its own developer. Retained listings across multiple exchanges. Demonstrated ability to rally hard when the memecoin sector turns.

What's broken: down roughly 99.6% from peak. Market capitalisation near $1.2 million against a reported $300 million high. On-chain liquidity near $200,000, making meaningful exits difficult. At all-time lows as of April 2026 with only partial recovery since. No revenue, no utility, no burn, no protocol. The viral moment that created it has passed and will not return. Competition on Sui has fragmented its once-dominant position.

The structural reality: Sudeng is a cultural asset with no valuation floor. Any recovery depends on a renewed memecoin cycle, renewed Sui ecosystem momentum, and whether a 74,700-strong holder base represents a dormant community or accumulated exit pressure. Nobody can know which.

This is not financial advice. HIPPO is a low-liquidity memecoin at a fraction of its peak, with no intrinsic value and severe exit risk at size.

Frequently asked questions

What is Sudeng (HIPPO)?

A fan-created memecoin on the Sui blockchain, launched in late 2024 and inspired by Moo Deng, the baby pygmy hippo born at Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo in July 2024. It has a fixed 10 billion supply and is run by a community takeover after its original developer left.

Is Sudeng the same as Moo Deng (MOODENG)?

No. Sudeng (HIPPO) is on Sui. Moo Deng (MOODENG) is a separate token on Solana. Both were inspired by the same animal, but they are unaffiliated, and neither is owned by the zoo.

What does CTO mean for Sudeng?

Community Takeover. The original developer abandoned the project, and holders assumed control of branding, social channels and coordination. This is reflected in the @hippo_cto handle and the hippocto.meme domain.

Is Sudeng dead?

Not entirely. It retains roughly 74,700 holders, listings across multiple exchanges, and an active community. But it trades about 99.6% below its all-time high with a market cap near $1.2 million and on-chain liquidity near $200,000, which makes large exits difficult.

What is HIPPO's all-time high?

Approximately $0.0298, with a project-reported peak market capitalisation near $300 million. It trades near $0.00012 as of September 2026.

Why did HIPPO crash?

Not because of unlocks, supply was fully circulating with no pre-mine, private sale or team allocation. It declined because it was a pure attention asset, and the viral Moo Deng moment that created it faded, leaving no secondary demand driver. Sui memecoin competition from tokens like MIU and LOFI also fragmented its market share.

Did Sudeng really donate to a zoo?

Yes. In October 2024 the project donated 5,000,000 Thai Baht (approximately US$150,000) to Khao Kheow Open Zoo and other Thai zoos, delivered in person with the project represented by Kullathida Othong. The zoo's associated account publicly acknowledged it on 6 October 2024.

Is Sudeng still donating to charity?

The well-documented donation dates to October 2024, when market cap was around $160 million. With market cap now near $1.2 million, giving at that scale is not feasible. Do not assume ongoing donations without current disclosure.

Does Sudeng have a foundation?

No. There is no Sudeng foundation, company or formal legal entity. It is run by a community takeover. Khao Kheow Open Zoo is a charity partner and donation recipient, not a governing body. Treat any entity claiming to be an official Sudeng foundation with caution.

What is HIPPO's total supply?

10,000,000,000 HIPPO, fixed, with 100% circulating. Fully diluted valuation equals market capitalisation, and there is no vesting or unlock schedule.

Where can I buy Sudeng?

HIPPO is listed across roughly 17 exchanges including KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC and OKX, plus Sui decentralised exchanges. Verify the Sui contract address before trading, HIPPO is a widely reused ticker.

Why do HIPPO prices differ so much between sites?

Because liquidity is thin and some providers serve stale data. CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap and OKX broadly agree near $0.00012, but at least one major outlet has displayed a figure roughly seventy times higher, apparently from an old pump snapshot. Verify across multiple sources.

Is the reported trading volume reliable?

Treat it cautiously. Reported 24-hour volume of $2–3 million against a $1.2 million market cap and $200,000 of on-chain liquidity implies turnover above 150%, which is unusual for organic trading on a low-cap asset.

How many people hold HIPPO?

Approximately 74,700 addresses, very wide distribution for the market cap, averaging around $16 per holder.

Does HIPPO have any utility?

No. It has no product, protocol, revenue, staking or burn mechanism. It is a cultural and community asset whose value rests entirely on attention and sentiment.

Is Sudeng a good investment in 2026?

Not financial advice. The considerations: no intrinsic value, no utility, near all-time lows, thin liquidity that makes exits difficult at size, and a viral moment that has passed. Against that: clean tokenomics with no insider allocation, wide holder distribution, retained listings, and demonstrated beta when the memecoin sector rotates.
